Okay, okay. I know that MySpace and Facebook are old news, but I just created a Facebook page, and it's cool. Not my page specifically, but Facebook itself.
Did you know that you can link to your blog from Facebook. It will automatically pull your blog into your Facebook page. Myspace won't do that (not that I can figure out). It has a wonderful photo uploading tool, and just works well in general.
Check out what RhettandLink think about it:
So, for those of you who have been catching up with me on MySpace...
Sorry! I'm phasing it out. It's dead to me.

Whaaa-a-a-a-at???
That's right! You heard me correctly.
:)
(Though I will admit that MySpace is better for music.)
c'mon, Jeff. Everybody knows that myspace is soooo 2007!
You are moving in the right direction Aaroneous.
Thank you, Heidi!
It's nice to be vindicated. (Which is always better than being eviscerated, I hear.)
Wait...this isn't 2007? Where was I?
Crap.
The only reason I ever wound up with a MySpace page was music. I was moaning about the state of new bands and a friend challanged me to get a MySpace page. So I did.
I know that Facebook is the new, hotter thing right now, but MySpace is more pervassive. So for our store's purposes, MySpace is still better, as it allows us to reach more people.
ZeroMan -
Why not both? One evening of setting up a page and you would have a presence in both worlds...both the waning and the waxing.
Just a thought...
Why not both?
Well, I wouldn't rule anything out completely. However right now I try to keep groundzerocomics.com up to date, as well as the Ground Zero MySpace page, as well as my own MySpace page.
Something already suffers. I feel like I spend too much time on the computor as it is.
Did I mention what a slow writer I am?
Zeroman -
One thought...what if your new releases page (I assume it is the one you have to update the most), was in a blog format?
You could link from www.groundzerocomics.com to the blog where they normally click on new releases. Then, Facebook allows you to link a blog into it, so if you created a Zeroman and/or Ground Zero Facebook page, you could pull the same blog into it. Then, you could just hardcode a link from the Ground Zero myspace page to the blog and...voila!!
One new blog post updates all three website. This blogger that I use is actually quite user-friendly, and you can throw together a decent looking post pretty quickly.
I dunno, I don't see any reason why that wouldn't work - Other than the whole "old dog, new tricks" thing.
When things are less crazy (i.e. I'm not coming down here at 4AM to relive the whole "Good Guys" thing), I'll try to remember to look into that.
